[영어편지] 영어 편지(이메일) 쓰는 양식

 

1. 시작 부분

• ‘Hi’만 쓰거나 ‘Hi + 이름’을 쓴다. (답장을 쓸 때는 Hi만 쓰는 경우가 많음)
• ‘Dear + 이름’을 쓴다

 

2. 본문을 쓸 때 유용한 18가지 표현

• (It was) good to hear from you.  소식을 들어서 반가웠어.
• Thanks you for your e-mail (letter).  너의 이메일(편지) 잘 받았어.
• Hope your are well.  네가 건강하기를 바래.
• How are you?  건강은 어떠니?
• How are things with you?  어떻게 지내니?
• Sorry I haven’t written/been in touch.  연락을 하지 못해서 미안해.
• It was good/great to see you last weekend.  지난 주말에 만나서 정말 좋았어.
• We’re having a great time in Paris.  우리는 파리에서 정말 즐겁게 지내고 있어.
• I’ve got some (good/great) news.  너에게 알려줄 (좋은) 소식이 있어.
• Just a quick note to say I'll be back on Monday.  월요일에 돌아간다고 알려주려고 간략한 이메일을 보내는 거야.
• I was wondering if you wanted to meet up some time.  네가 언제 한 번 나를 만날 생각이 있는지 궁금해.
• Let me know when you’re free.  시간이 나면 내게 알려줘.
• Hope to see you soon.  곧 너를 만나길 바래.
• Look forward to seeing you soon.  곧 너를 만나길 바래.
• Write soon.  곧 연락해.
• Keep in touch.  계속 연락해.
• It would be great to have your news.  너의 소식을 들을 수 있다면 정말 좋겠구나.
• Give my love/regards/best wishes to your family.  너의 가족에게 내 안부를 전해줘.

 

3. 맺음말에 쓸 수 있는 8가지 표현

• All the best
• Best
• Best wishes
• Regards (약간 격식차린 말)
• Love (친한 친구나 가족에게만)
• Lots of love (친한 친구나 가족에게만)
• See you soon
• Take care

 

위와 같이 쓴 다음 아랫줄에 이름을 씁니다.
또 격식을 차리지 않는 이메일에서는 이름 대신 첫 글자만 쓰기도 합니다. 예를 들어 자신의 이름이 Joanna면 J라고 쓰는 겁니다.

아래에 추신을 쓸 때는 PS라고 씁니다.
PS Hope you like your present. (선물이 마음에 들기를 바래).

Hi Joanna

How are things with you?
Sorry I haven’t been in touch lately. I’ve been really busy with my exams.
I’ve got some news – I’m planning to start an English course in London in September.
